  • Location: Void Gallery, 312 Ave B South, Saskatoon, SK
  • Be prepared to work on your own submission to a gallery of your choosing

In this three-week course Michael Peterson, Gallery Director for Void Gallery, will take participants through the process of preparing a gallery submission. Michael will begin by discussing the different types of galleries that exist (from public to artist-run to commercial) and the different forms of artistic production they support, helping each participant research galleries suitable for their work. Participants will prepare a gallery submission for at least one of these galleries, including writing a cover letter and exhibition statement and developing a portfolio of images.

This course is intended for artists of all skill levels who want to refine their professional practices or improve their creative business skills. It is suitable for early-career artists learning new techniques or experienced artists who would like to receive support and feedback throughout processes they have been undertaking for years.

Part of the Saskatchewan Craft Council's "Professional Practices for Artists" program developed with the support of Void Gallery.

Sponsored by Saskatchewan Craft Council, VOID, and Creative Saskatchewan.
