BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

 

MEMBER DISCOUNTS

With a CARFAC SASK membership card, members have access to discounts at a number of retail stores and businesses, including art supply stores, as well as free or reduced admissions to galleries and museums both nationally and abroad.

ADVOCACY

CARFAC SASK represents the needs of visual artists through active and responsive advocacy to various levels of government and to other agencies whose activities affect artists. CARFAC SASK maintains relationships with the Saskatchewan Arts Board and SaskCulture, and is an active member of the Canadian Conference of the Arts, the Saskatchewan Arts Alliance, and the Saskatchewan Cultural Industries Development Council.

All advisory services are available to voting members free of charge. These services include legal and financial advice from professionals.

ADVISORY SERVICES

NEWSLETTERS

CARFAC SASK members receive our newsletter once every two months, either by mail or email (based on preference). The newsletter offers articles on national and regional issues and events, CARFAC SASK programming, and artist profiles. The newsletter also includes calls for submission, upcoming cultural events and exhibitions, educational and professional opportunities, artist residencies, and more.

E-BULLETINS

Our monthly e-bulletins offer time-sensitive items that may not be reported in the newsletter, including upcoming events and deadlines.

RESOURCE CENTRES

Our offices in Regina and Saskatoon offer resource centres, which contain a vast selection of books and current art magazines relevant to artists. These may be borrowed by CARFAC SASK members.

TECH SUPPORT

CARFAC SASK offices can provide computer and internet access to members. Members may also use Adobe Photoshop Suite in office.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL

Members have access to CARFAC SASK's light kit and digital projector: $15 for up to 4 nights/ $25 for 7 nights with a $100 refundable deposit. To rent equipment, prior arrangements must be made with staff during office hours.

TOLL-FREE TELEPHONE ACCESS

CARFAC SASK members have access to toll-free telephone numbers to contact our offices. These toll-free numbers are printed on the back of your membership card.
