Writing cohesive and personalized artist statements is an important skill for artists to maintain and advance their careers. Artists need to write artist statements for grant applications, exhibition proposals, and for self-promotion materials. The workshop discusses a general overview of gallery and grant proposals, and strategies artists may use to write effective artist statements.
