Join us in celebrating the artists of The Newcomer Her Stories Project, a collaborative storytelling and art project for Afghan newcomer and refugee women. Under the mentorship of artists Müveddet Al-Katib, Elham Zafaremili and Yasaman Tarighatmanesh; participants gathered regularly, creating personal and collaborative artworks, and forming connections. The program included the opportunity for cross-cultural sharing and cultural bridging, featuring work with the Ribbon Skirt-Making Project with artist Honey Constant-Inglis and guided by Elder Mary Lee.
