The morning session includes a brief historical tour of general framing style and methods, with a spotlight on some contemporary framing strategies. This session also includes the demonstration of a simple method for matting small-scale artworks on paper and how to properly hinge mount a work.

The afternoon session features approaches to framing works on panel and canvas. This session also includes demonstration of how to properly prepare a wood panel and a simple shadow box method for framing small-scale works on paper and panel.

Participants will receive a detailed guide with information on additional resources and are encouraged to ask questions regarding their own framing dilemmas.

This full day workshop will include a 45 min lunch break, so bring a bagged lunch.
