WORKSHOP

CARFAC SASK and the Regina & Area Potters Guild are pleased to present:

Bookkeeping for Artists

with Tammy Bryant

REGISTER NOW

Take the mystery out of record-keeping and tax issues with this easy to understand look at bookkeeping for the unincorporated artist. We’ll discuss different options available to record your information and take a deeper dive into using a spreadsheet specifically designed with the artist in mind. At the end of the workshop, you will be able to compile your data (transactions) to provide useful information regarding your practice as well as satisfying government agency reporting and compliance.

TAMMY BRYANT has been working in the accounting/finance field for over 30 years. Currently, she is semi-retired, maintaining a small public practice consisting of year end work and tax preparation for small and medium corporations.

Her experience has been gained through financial roles in a variety of industries, a successful sole proprietor public practice and continued involved with CPA Canada (CMA Canada previously) throughout the accreditation process.

As a ceramic artist, Tammy strives for her work to be unique and not fit into any specific box. This can be seen in the different firing techniques used or processes; wheel thrown, hand built & slip casting as well as numerous atmospheric firing processes. Using porcelain in her practice has allowed her different ways to incorporate brilliant colors, both defined & random.

She actively sells her work in markets as well as through a few brick & mortar locations within Saskatchewan.

FREE WORKSHOPS like this one  are made possible thanks to funding support from SaskCulture / Sask Lotteries and from CARFAC SASK's artist members across the province. Consider joining or renewing your membership today.
